CHECKLIST
 
EVERY VEHICLE MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

Spade
±60Lt water (20Lt for kitchen use and 40lt for shower)
Tyre pressure gauge and pump that works from battery or lighter
Toilet paper and matches
Strong plastic bags for waste
Brake fluid, engine oil, spare V-belt and car fuses
Sufficient fuel to cover 750km, keep in mind that your 4X4 will use more fuel than normal because of the sand
Petrol vehicles achieve 3km per liter - take 280lt petrol for the trip.
Diesel vehicles achieve 4km per liter - take 200lt diesel for the trip.
Recovery Points in front and back of vehicle to attach a tow rope (to pull vehicle out of sand)
Lighter plug socket in working condition for Communication radio's
2 Big bags or 5 small bags of firewood 
Offroad tyres is necessary for the dunes/sand (tyres are deflated to drive on the soft sand and road tyres puncture)
All equipment must be safely fastened inside and outside the vehicle
Space for a box with food to be taken into the desert

Optional
Extra spare wheel, hi lift jack and Q20 spray
Small broom and plastic bucket

We supply
Radio's for every vehicle
3 Meals per day with fruit juice, coffee and tea
Tent with shower, toilet, warm water, kitchen tables and wash up facility
2 Guide vehicles
Sattelite phone for emergencies and to be contactable
Recovery when you get stuck
 
What you must take with
Tent, folding chair, bedding, etc.
Eating utensils like plate, cutlery, glass, mug and small bowl
Cool drinks, alcoholic refreshments, ice, drinking water, etc.
Torch with extra batteries (the head torch works fine)
Camera with extra batteries and films
Hat, sun glasses, suntan lotion, etc.
Cool clothes for day and warm clothes for evening, towel and toiletries
Prescribed medicine and headache tablets
Collapsible wash basin or something similar
