You will have to know the 4-highs and the 4-lows on you gearbox and how to engage it, then we can help you further.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are there mechanics to repair a broken vehicle?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, Please ensure that your vehicle is serviced at a credible garage.\u00a0 Tell them where you are going to drive.<br \/>\n(Vehicles that broke down will be left in the desert, and it will be your own reponsibility to recover. There are expert recovery teams in Luderitz and Walvis Bay).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are small trailers allowed?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, no trailers are allowed to be taken into the desert on any Namib tour.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I use my rooftop tent?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes but only if your vehicle is not &#8220;top heavy&#8221;, There are dunes that have to be rushed to get over the dune and all dunes are not taken on at a 90\u00ba angle to the dune, which may lead to your vehicle falling over if it is top heavy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will my wife enjoy such a trip?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes,\u00a0 certainly the wives are normally the people that will make you come back for another trip.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any other questions, please post them below and we will answer them as soon as possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What vehicle do I need ?
